• "As a solo traveler and tennis enthusiast, I was pleasantly surprised at the racquets experience I had at the Biltmore. As if playing within a fabulous backdrop of the Bitmore grounds isn't enough, I found the tennis and pickle ball staff to be incredible on many levels. With brand new courts tucked away near the fitness center, I was able to combine my morning exercise routine with easy access to my favorite activity. The head pro Brendan was so accommodating to my last minute requests for lessons and inquiries for more social play. He brings all of the amazing things one would hope for in a PBI program but adds his own dynamic coaching style to meet the player's needs. His articulate feedback coupled with key recommendations helped me to easily understand a few small things to improve my game in an hour. Furthermore, his enthusiasm for keeping the racquets community energetic was outstanding. He makes hotel guests who want to play in social round robins or matches feel welcome and integrated with the regular racquets community there. I've never played pickle before and they welcomed me with wide arms in a round robin and helped me catch on very quickly. I loved it so much I booked a lesson or clinic each following day. I am still practicing his recommendations and the adjustments I've made have changed my game for sure. I had such a blast at pickle ball I came home with a new hobby on my list!
