Here's what others have had to say about Bachmanngut Wolfgangsee.

  • 4½-Ball Rating "Wonderful setting and tennis program. We went during July, and it rained almost daily, but only for an hour or two. Still plenty of time for hiking, biking, and exploring the Alps. The resort offers indoor and outdoor courts, but all lessons were indoors. The instructors were helpful and fun, and multilingual. Players were grouped by ability. The food is spectacular. In the evening, dinner is a bit of an event -- be prepared for several courses served over 2 hours."—S.H., Adv. Int., January 2018
  • 4½-Ball Rating "This place is AMAZING. It is a small resort nestled in the Austrian Alps. The tennis program is 1.5 hours per day with some additional optional activities in the evenings. The pros are great teachers and very friendly. The students are divided by level so you can be on the court with others that are similar in skill (not overwhelming or underwhelming). When not on the court there are a million things to do including hiking, biking, sailing, and eating. The tennis package comes with 2 meals per day, which are prepared by (what seemed to be) a 5-star chef. Everything was amazingly delicious. The only thing we might have changed would be to have a less fancy option for dinner, which took maybe 2.5 hours each night for all the courses. As much as we liked the food, this was a long time to sit in the dining room. We were also really impressed with the atmosphere and people at the resort. Although we were the only Americans, we felt welcome by everyone."—J.H., Int., January 2018
  • 4½-Ball Rating "Absolutely stunning location, easy walk down to the beautiful village on the lake. Coaches are amazingly friendly and take great care to ensure everyone is included. Cuisine is suoerb, with an amazing array of food and events in the evenings - the Saturday Night in the kitchen is a winner. This is family rin, and has been for many uears and it shows. It is friendly, welcoming, helpful but above all a place full of people wanting you to emjoy yourself. Can't wait to return. Great for singles, couples, friends, groups and families alike, a plethora of things to do if wanting a rest from tennis or with others with different interests."—S.H., Adv. Int., February 2017
  • 3-Ball Rating "Spent 1 week at Vitalhotel last October. The Hotel is located near Sankt Wolfgang which is a famous touristic gateway. It is cozy hotel with a beautiful view over Lake Wolfgangsee. Accomodation is appropriate while food is very good. The Spa is new and offers different saunas, a spacious relaxing zone and a in- and heated outdoor pool. The hotel has 3 carpet courts and 2 outdoor clay courts. The tennis clinic runs on a daily basis but the programme intensity depends very much on the level of the participants. Turned out to be just standard with practically no technique and minimal tactical training. In all a little bit disappointing. However, there is a lot to do besides tennis like biking, trekking or check out nearby located golf course. Overall all very relaxing stay but not recommendable for the ambitious player."—N.V., Int., March 2015
  • 3½-Ball Rating "The guests who were playing tennis were divided into groups based on playing ability. The sessions were of 1 1/2 hours split into three half hour sessions where we worked on a drill with a different tutor. Guests had the option of doing one or two of these half hour sessions per day. The sessions were on indoor courts of the carpet with small rubber pellets to allow some sliding. The hotel had a number of outdoor clay courts that you could use during your stay. I prefer to play outdoors but the indoor facilities ensured that the tennis was always on at the time specified.
The coaching was average but the hotel was very good with great food and in a fantastic mountain and lake setting. A new spa had just opened (may 2012). I would go again."
