Located on the Bay of Angros de Reis, 75 miles south of Rio de Janeiro's famed Copacabana Beach, Rio das Pedras is framed by a tropical nursery developed to preserving more than 10,000 plant species native to the Atlantic forest. Nature excursions are thus a popular diversion at a Club—including trips into the Amazon Region. Otherwise, the Club is noted for its sailing, waterskiing, fitness, and wakeboarding. Tennis instruction is also available on nine hard courts as are facilities for kayak, basketball, weights room, soccer, squash, and volleyball. There is a Mini Club for children as young as 4 years.
The Club has 324 rooms, all with air conditioning, televisions, telephones, and in-room safes. It's open year-round.
