Located in Murrells Inlet, a few minutes south of Myrtle Beach, Wachesaw is a private resort community developed on the site of an historic rice plantation overlooking the Wachesaw River. Known chiefly for the golf on its Tom Fazio signature golf course, it also caters to tennis players on its 8 Har-Tru courts with a variety of clinics, junior programs, and social events under South Carolina's Pro of the Year Ben Simon. There is also an equestrian center, swimming pool, marina, softball and soccer fields, basketball court, and a children's playground. Rental lodging consists of 2-bedroom cottages and 2- and 3-bedroom townhomes. There's an informal tavern in the golf clubhouse and a restaurant, Kimbell's, on the Waccamaw River overlooking the 18th green.
There are 2- and 3-bedroom cottages and townhomes available for rent to vacationers on a nightly, weekly, monthly, or annual basis.
