I do have two things I would like to address that I feel could have been better. 1. I really think being in shape is essential to playing good tennis. We had a station for exercise and stretching. I felt it was a little to much. It should be there...but first thing in the morning and maybe again after lunch...but not in the rotation. 2. I went to camp wanting to address some of my own personal weaknesses...I never got the chance for two of them. The setting and weather were amazing, with great views of the ocean. I would absolutely recommend this to a friend, and hope to do it again myself. The only negative was the level of competition. My tennis partner and I flew in from Texas, where we are 3.5 players (USTA ranking). Most of the other participants were from California, and said they too were 3.5 players, but seemed more like 3.0.   The other members of our camp were fun to be with. The idea of seeing how other players are from other parts of the country was an opportunity not to be missed.
  I hope to go again just to be able to concentrate on tennis, meet new people, have a good time & enjoy the experience. The staff at the Lodge were the best ever. They were all very friendly, accommodating and interested in all of us. Always had the time to chat & help out.

• "Strengths: Truly the most Professional staff. From Ruth in the Pro Shop to all of the Pros who instructed all of us. Every staff member was pleasant, kind and had a smile when they greeted you and/or had conversation with us. They were attentive to every need. They were available and approachable for any questions we had about the area, places to see, places to dine, etc. As for questions regarding tennis skills, explinations were clear, visual and comprehensible. This made learning specific skills much easier and faster.
  The camp provide the most beautiful sit down lunch for all of us in their main dining room. Another lunch was provided Including a lunch when we went off grounds. At one lunch were able to look over the Golf greens and the Pacific Ocean. The room was beautiful and truly represented the class, history and beauty of Pebble Beach. By this point all of the tennis guests were very close and we continued to learn about each other, share experience but most of all be in the company of those who are so passionate about the game of tennis.
  The night before we had another memorable dinner. It was in a private room with the most exquisite meal ( 7 courses) I prefer this type of meal ( small tastes) over a salad and entree. This was a great decision by the tennis staff.. So along with fantastic tennis instruction for 6 hours each day we had excellent socialization. I really felt like a "team" with the others. I will miss them and look forward to keeping in touch.
  Weaknesses: Very small details but I recognized them. It might be nice to provide some sports drinks on the court. if they are not used by some they may be perfect for others. I know this can get difficult with details like "low Calorie" too much sugar, grape verses lime etc. ...but it's still nice to know its provided.
  I felt the clay courts were not up to par. But that's really because that's all I play on. So I noticed they were a little dry. You could slip and it could actually be a little dangerous. I think at some point we should able to rotate onto the clay courts at some point. And give those who are most familiar with that surface a chance to practice there skills on it. and possibly let others experience it.
  Hotel stay. I know its not possible but it would be amazing if the hotel and the tennis could make a full "package deal" for the stay. We stayed at the Hyatt and it was great... but i feel that it would be a "total experience" if we could stay at the hotel where the camp existed. That would be ideal."—L.K., Adv. Int., April 2011
