The charge of $15 for chairs or umbrellas is petty. Make it part of the room charge, don’t be so petty. $60 for a family to sit on the beach? Come on. Our Golf sales rep is amazing! Hats off to Lewis! The tennis and pickleball director is a wonderful host. His interaction with his players is tremendous! The restaurant staff is friendly. We were texted at the start of the weekend that live entertainment would be available and to be sure to attend, but when we tried, no such entertainment existed. Definitely screwed up our evening plans. Overall a remarkable place with amazing picturesque views and memorable scenic experiences. Gene was accommodating with a prompt email response and a follow up phone call. While it was too late to make the clinic, he was able to arrange something that worked. He was wonderful, such that we scheduled another session on the following day. We had a great time and learned a lot. I’ve never had a tennis lesson, and thus had no knowledge of the sport. We both got a great deal of instruction and play in while we were there for the week on a family vacation. There are ample opportunities to participate in group instruction, cardio tennis etc. In addition, we scheduled private lessons with Jean Paul, Director of Tennis. Side note, my son broke a string mid-week and the instructors were able to re-string it so we could be back on the courts for our scheduled clinic the next morning. You can't be that turnaround and attention! Tip for anyone coming to visit (we visited in Spring 2021)- review the clinics and sign up in advance so you have a spot. • "I went to the resort specifically to receive tennis instruction from Gene Paul Lascano. Members from our club in Jacksonville have been doing so for years but 2017 was my first introduction to HB. I found the facilities beautiful and extremely well maintained. As a doubles player, I liked how the pro focused on court movement and shot selection. If, as a team, you understand these principles, players can be interchangeable and are not encumbered by "partnerships". By my second visit, Gene Paul knew my name (as well as remembered many of my individual strengths and weaknesses). When our team qualified for nationals, we took a few trips to HB for last minute pointers. His instruction proved to be invaluable as we took 2nd place at Nationals. • "I stayed at Hammock Beach Resort on a tennis weekend getaway. Gene Paul was wonderful to work with and very accommodating when setting up private clinics times and court space for team play. He and Kate made the high energy tennis clinics such fun but full of tips and strategies. We've done two tennis trips down there annually and the weather was always wonderful. The food and restaurants didn't disappoint at the Resort however we did run into some issues with the accommodations. We've always stayed in the three bedroom condos and one time we weren't able to access our rooms until 2 hours after check in. Another room stayed it would have a king, a queen and two twins when in fact it held 2 queens and 2 twins. In another situation, the window treatment fell down and almost hit one of our gals. • "My wife and I just spent a week at the Hammock beach Resort in Palm Coast, Florida. Fabulous resort and not overcrowded likemany four-star resorts. The tennis facility there is fairly new but have first class teaching pro's (Harry Gilbert and Gene Paul Lascano). I have been to many tennis resorts and camps and this one is outstanding.
