There are not a lot of tennis resort options in the nation's heartland. One major exception is the Country Club Hotel & Spa, on a ridge above Lake of the Ozarks. Guests bed down in either an 86-room hotel or any of several two- and three-bedroom condos. That affords them access to a 110,000-square-foot fitness center with an indoor swimming pool, complete workout facility, and a spa as well as to a dozen outdoor tennis courts. I haven't personally been able to visit in years, during which numerous changes have taken place, and although I gave it rave reviews when it first opened, I don't have enough current information to judge how well tennis players are taken care of. I'm currently trying to get more details, and once I do I'll post those here. Meanwhile, if you have visited recently I'd like to know and I'll post your take on the current tennis climate, so please file a review for the benefit of all.

The Country Club Hotel has 86 rooms (66 of them suites), which adjoin the 110,000-square-foot fitness club. In addition, there are a score or so of 2- and 3-bedroom condominiums available for rent.
