"The Wailea Tennis Club is a very poorly managed operation with world class potential. The facility is in terrible run-down condition with cracks, dips a filth prevalent on all of the under-maintained courts. The lights do not work as the light standards have rotted and the lights have been removed since any standard could fall over at any time.
We have been using this facility for 34 years on our yearly 3 1/2 month winter vacation on Maui and it is now so poorly operated and so run down that we will join the nearby, newly renovated and much more user friendly Makena Tennis Club next year.
It is unfortunate that a facility with so much potential can be so poorly operated and so terribly 'maintained' that many Maui full time residents refuse to play there.
In fairness to anyone contemplating a visit to this facility, we cannot recommend wasting your money when a world class operation, Makena Tennis Club, is a short distance away.
The screaming and yelling associated with various clinics is obtrusive and not conducive to a reasonably operated tennis club."—P.B., Adv., March 2011
