The family-run VitalHotel Wolfgangsee overlooks lake Wolfgangsee in the picturesque village of St. Wolfgang, 50 kilometers from Salzburg. It has three outdoor red-clay courts and three indoor carpet courts as well as a full-time staff of multi-lingual tennis professionals, currently headed by South African Karl Cassier, and a tennis school that has been in operation since 1979. Both adult and junior programs are available, including sessions for children as young as age six. Europe's Ace Tennis Magazine consistently ranks it among the Top 10 in Europe. The tennis program is supplemented by spa services, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a fitness center, a putting green, and a children's playground. Bicycles are available for those who'd like to explore and the region offers skiing in winter, hiking in summer. There are seven nearby golf courses, and the lake, which is a five-minute walk away, adds a watersports option.
All the rooms have balconies, with views of either the lake or mountains, as well as wireless Internet access. Its restaurant focuses on using ingredients from the region, including herbs from its own garden. In summer, there is the option to dine outdoors with views over the lake.
