The clubhouse is bare bones and seems to be past it's glory days but the amount of tennis you can get in a weekend is amazing. • "Took two lessons from Joe Oyco during 5 day June visit. I've visited roughly 8 of the top 50 tennis resorts and Joe is the best instructor I've encountered. He has a very keen eye and with subtle adjustments to my grip and body positioning, helped me improve my volley, serve and two hand backhand. The hour lessons went too quickly.
  The locals are very friendly and round robin doubles are available in the afternoon. Play level was mostly 3.5. May be difficult to find a game for 4.0 and higher. I am a 4.0. • "Three 3.5/4.0 women friends and I attended the three day tennis school taught by PTR/USPTA/CHS pro, Joe Oyco. Despite close to 100 degree heat, the three hour sessions flew by too quickly. Joe kept us moving and focused throughout each session. He personalized comments and instruction for each player. The videotaped session, while somewhat painful for us to watch the reality of, was extremely helpful. We had a great time, learned a lot, and can't wait to come back next year. • "The people were wonderful! Kristen and Joe truly offer a new way of looking at strokes. They talked more about elbows and palms than anyone I've ever taken from. They also talked about personal space as it relates to hitting. The videotaping was certainly eyeopening! We were allowed to work on the shots before the taping, so nerves were less of an issue. All the courts were clay. It wasn't as tiring as I would have liked- I could have gone all day but I took home lots of things to remember and implement.
  The camp was just the women from our team, so game matching was an non issue. We stayed at the Litchfield condos and the shuttle took us to the tennis school (2 minutes away) but we ate in local places not at the resort. • "Litchfield Tennis School is a busy local club in Myrtle Beach SC. It is not a destination camp like many of the biggest around. But what it lacks in sheer size and glitz it makes up for tenfold in instruction and location.
  A few blocks from the beach in a tree shaded complex are 2 dozen hard tru courts and a killer Pro named Joe. I learned more from him in four days than I would have at the more glitzy camp had I stayed there for weeks. Litchfield was about instruction rather than just fitness. If you are looking to run a lot or play points out constantly you should practice more at home. Joe provides excellent instruction that has really improved my game.

• "The level of play is challenging yet the members and visitors are most cordial and demonstrate sportsmenship of the highest degree. The management, the ancillary staff and pros are top notch. Seventeen hartru courts are in splendid condition and maintained beautifully. Although the facility is top grade it surely is not in the exclusive class as some of the countries famous high profile clubs.
