"My son had a wonderful first summer experience at Krinsky's. He is a great kid and sometimes takes awhile to get to know others. I was impressed by the fact that the coaches took it on themselves to help him make friends when we dropped him off on his first day.
He benefitted from the instruction and returned with a "new" serve. He was a little disappointed that he could not have the same pro every day.
My husband and I both had concerns over the "Down Time" and found the separate staff for off court to be a rarety. The venue is beautiful (12 courts) and we found the accomodations and food to be satisfactory.

"There are plenty of reason this camp draws students and staff from all over the world. They are simply the best. Not only did I improve my game, I had fun doing it! The instructors mix it up with competition, instruction and games so that you're never board.
The food was very good and there were always a variety of choices. My room had an air conditioner and a refrigerator. I made friends from all over the country and the world.

"My child attended the camp for three weeks this past summer (2006). Although, as is often the case with teenagers they tend to say very little. In fact, nothing more than, "Yeah it was cool." pressing him further he elaborated that he'd love to return, so in his teenage uncommunicative way I know that he's had a great experience.
A month after camp my son has made his school team, the desired goal of the summer training at camp. I can only attribute his increased skill to his summer coaching and opportunities for more matchplay.
An added benifit; however, is that although I thought he was primarily going for tennis, he has made many new friends. More importantly friends from all over the country, which I think is healthy as it opens him up to more view points and experiences. Albeit, he'll probably be spending more time on the computer chatting now.

Julian Krinsky School of Tennis

Since 1978 the Julian Krinsky School of Tennis has taken a comprehensive approach to improving young players' tennis games by focusing on 
fundamentals and strategy within a supportive, competitive environment. Krinsky himself is a former international tour player from South Africa who competed at Wimbledon and the French and Italian Opens. Over the past 35 years, he and his staff of certified pros have taught tens of thousands of students. In summers, the overnight tennis camps for boys and girls take place at Villanova University and Haverford College in suburban Philadephia.
Students receive over five hours of individualized instruction and drills daily, reinforced by competitive play and supplemented by half-hour private lessons and cross-training sessions. There are also special programs for advanced and tournament players. All are supplemented by evening trips to the mall, the movies, historic Philadelphia sites, and the Philadelphia Zoo and other attractions as well as weekend excursions to Baltimore, Dorney Park/Wildwater Kingdom, Great Adventure, Hershey Park, New York City, and elsewhere.

Rates and Reservations
Rates for the weeklong (Sunday-Saturday) tennis sessions include tuition, board, dormitory lodging, and off-campus trips. Day camps for ages 7-17 are also available.
