"We have been to Couples Swept Away Negril 4 times since 2007 and have loved it more each time. Always perfect weather, fantastic huge white soft sandy beach with all the boating options included and a large beautiful tennis facility in which you have a choice between 5 har-tru and 5 hard courts. Also a huge pool and hot tub nearby to help mend the aching body after all the unlimited tennis. They have visiting tennis pros and tennis pros on staff which run advanced, intermediate and beginner drills every morning Monday thru Friday and a fantastic round robin every night which was fantastic because there were at least 20 or more players of all levels each night to choose from. It was a good way to meet other tennis players to set up matches. 
Great food with many options to choose from which included vegetarian, asian fusion, continental and of course jamaican cuisine. We are looking forward to going back next year!"—S.W., Adv., January 2011
"Not so much a tennis resort, as a beautiful all-inclusive beach resort, with a very impressive tennis complex as part of the overall picture.
Very well maintained courts; 5 clay, 5 hardcourt (all lit), surrounded by an olympic size lap pool, workout area, squash and racquetball courts and a bar dedicated to the sports complex only. Good instruction available, with times somewhat limited due to inclusion in the price. The 3 teaching pros were always busy, but a half hour private lesson every day was easily arranged at no extra cost. The advanced and intermediate clinics were run by a very good visiting pro, but were way too short in duration.
There was a round robin every day at 5; mostly mixed doubles. Better games could be arranged by meeting other tennis players at the morning drill sessions and lining things up on your own. Many of the guests had obviously come with tennis in mind. The resort is not huge, so you cross paths with other players all the time. The courts appeared to be for the use of guests only; no local membership.
The beach resort is beautiful; one of the nicest in the Caribbean. When not playing tennis, there is diving, sailing, snorkeling, etc, all included in the price, as well. Lots of beach bars and oceanside restaurants are also part of the package. A typical day could involve tennis hitting in the morning, beach activities during the day and round robin play in the late afternoon. By mid to late morning it was quite hot and even the avid tennis players would head to the spectacular beach. "The tennis program is very basic, as the resort didn't really have any tennis players while I was there, during July 2007. They have a visiting "Pro" every week or so and I use the word "Pro" very loosely. I'm a former 4.5 player, now closer to a strong 4.0 (age will do that you) and because there were very few other tennis players there, I played the "pro" 3 or 4 times and basically had to slow my game down for him. "Janet and I attended Couples Swept Away for the first time in August, 2006. We had been to other resorts in Jamaica eight times or more each, previously. We were excited because a couple that we met in Jamaica in July 2006 told us that if we were looking for lots of tennis in great environment, then we should definitely try CSA.
We arrived home to NJ and immediately booked CSA with hopeful, but restrained anticipation. Couples Swept Away is simply the best and most enjoyable vacation we have experienced so far. I play tennis an average of 3-4 times per week. CSA has ten tennis courts, you choose clay or hard court for play. Daily free clinics are conducted by a very competent visiting teaching pro or coach from the States. One or more free lessons each day, if you wish, with one of three very capable resident teaching pros on site. Beautiful grounds overall, very nice accomendations and a pleasant, professional staff.
While it is not a resort generally full of tennis players, the staff, including the fitness director will assist you in finding a competitive game and challenging workout. A beautiful beach, a veggie bar with my personal favorite: a soft serve ice cream machine , a full complement of water sports activities all included, staff who make an effort to address you by name the second time they see you, great fitness and massage facilites are only some of things that make Couples Swept Away our favorite destination every year from now on."—L.W., Adv., February 2007
"My wife and I visited Couples for the first time in May 2006. It was fantastic! Romantic and yet it satisfied the active adult. We played tennis until we faint! The room off the beach was ideal and the food was very good for an all inclusive. I would recommend this resort for the tennis enthusiast. The only minus is that the shower water pressure was low and seem to have a smell in the pipes. It was still worth it!"—W.C., June 2006
