A country house hotel under private ownership for 40 years, Chewton Glen belongs to the prestigious Relais & Chateaux group of small hotels. 
It sits on the edge of the historic New Forest National Park and within easy reach of Christchurch, Bournemouth, and Southampton and roughly 90 miles from central London. Renowned for its friendly service—there are more than 230 staff for its 58 antique-filled rooms and suites—it dishes out personal attention in an atmosphere of sophistication and contemporary style. And its restaurant, The Marryat, has an eclectic menu long on such local produce as wild mushrooms, vegetables, game, and seafood and an extensive winelist.
Creature comforts aside, the hotel has an extensive array of services and amenities, including an award-winning spa, a 9-hole, par-3 golf course, a fitness center, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a croquet lawn, a putting green, a clay pigeon range, and access to nearby horseback-riding stables.
