"This was my first tennis camp and it far exceeded my expectations. The accommodations at The Boulevard are top notch. We stayed in a lovely, spacious, 3 bedroom 2 bath condo overlooking the courts. Because bookings were very light the week we attended camp, my husband and I were fortunate to have the teaching pro, T.P. Thurman (Perk) all to ourselves for the duration of the 5-day camp. So we had 4 solid hours of one-on-one instructions each day.
Perk is a very experienced, knowledgable and creative teacher and he he utilized all kinds of drills and games to keep things fun while challenging us to play to our full potential. He videotaped me on day 3 then broke down my strokes frame by frame.
I believe we got our money's worth at The Boulevard, and I took home enough from camp to work on my game for the next year, when we plan to return for another great week!"—K.L., Int., February 2012

"Our foursome ventured toward Vero Beach on the recommendation of one of group who had attended a camp in N.Conway. We happened to book on the very first weekend of Florida camp time, which made us the only attendees, and we were delighted with the instruction from Perk.
Perk assessed our strengths and improved our game with instruction that was easy to understand and follow. I felt his best quality was his ability to tell us what TO DO, instead of what NOT to do. Even though we were working hard, he made it fun and we laughed and had a good time. He was the only instructor we had, but he kept us on task and covered all aspects of the game. We were disappointed about not having been videotaped, but we all decided that we enjoyed the on-court instruction better in the long run.
Perk, thanks for great experience at the Boulevard."—P.H., Int., October 2011

"This was my 4th time attending a NETH camp....so obviously I think they are great. I attended the first three at their North Conway, NH camp. This was my first time at their camp at The Boulevard in Vero, Florida. Our 4.0 team league was about to start, so I convinced my partner and another team to join me.
It was a very different experience for me as it was the camp's first week and we were the only ones there. The instruction was excellent, but we only had one instructor. In the past I have enjoyed switching from one pro to another several times per day. I also missed being videoed and critiqued.......seeing firsthand and in living color all of the things you do right and wrong! They also did not serve lunch (we had a one hour break for lunch) with no restaurants on site.
The facilities were excellent, our condo was courtside and lovely and the courts were in excellent condition. The ball cart used by the instructor needs serious updating as well as the ball retrievers that no longer retrieve well. I will definately recommend this location to others and return again.....but not the first week. My teammates attending for the first time thoroughly enjoyed it."—C.D., Adv., October 2011

"My time at NETH was most rewarding and Perk made the experience come alive. Our foursome learned so much and have taken home a whole new idea of playing aggressively, keeping the ball high over the net and looking to poach and put the ball away. After the camp and coming home the instruction makes great sense and can actually put it into play.
Perk was great on court and has been a follow up Pro since our camp. Great instructor with great advice and teaching ability! A great Aussie instructor!"—B.B., Adv. Int., October 2011

"Strengths- A lot of personal attention. Great instructors. Clay courts.
Weaknesses- Not many people there- kind of desolate."—A.B., Low Int., April 2011

"For Christmas 2009 my husband gifted me a stay at New England Tennis Holidays at Sugarbush, VT. I was unable to get away in summer 2010, so I attended the winter location in Vero Beach, FL the following year. Because it was the end of the winter season, I was the only camper for the four days I was in residence. Rather than asking me to reschedule, I received 2.5 hours of private lessons per day (rather than 4 hrs group instruction) with Kurt Grabher, Director, and his assistants.
Kurt quickly assessed my game and customized instruction. Rather than dazzle with fancy technique, instruction emphasized simple, clean and sustainable technique. My game improved immediately. Moreover, the Boulevard is a lovely community complete with restaurant, pro shop, fitness center, heated swimming pool, and friendly staff. The condos are lovely with a view of the courts. The facility is conveniently located to beach, Vero town, shopping. I hope to return every year -- and bring my husband or tennis team! Wonderful!"—M.H., Int., April 2011

"The condominium plaza/tennis resort is nice, but there are nearby places to stay directly on the beach, which is more fun and scenic in my opinion. There really isn't any additional tennis opportunities offered outside of the daily lesson."—S.B., Int., April 2011

"My 3rd time with this camp (1st in FL), and once again I found the camp/instruction to be top knotch. Strong individual attention, VERY experienced pros. A great workout, but not a boot camp. I came away from camp feeling better about my game.
Weakness: I always like to play at my lever...or up. Upon visiting the New Hampshire camp the group really varied. At that time, I was playing with more "beginners". As there were very few campers (and a certain number of pros), there were no options for a full day of tennis.... we all played together. By day 2, they were able to adjust the levels to a more appropriate fit."—M.B., Int., June 2010

"good pace of instruction for these old bones
liked the "kiss" approach. did not try to make radical changes, just worked with what you have"—T.C., Int., May 2010

"I have just completed a 5 day tennis Stay and Play at NETH in Vero Beach – it was amazing! Clare was helpful and flexible in helping me to organize my stay at the Club. As it was end of the season, the student- pro ratio was 1:1 for the whole of my 5 days stay. Thank you to Raz, Roscoe and Ron for their excellent teaching and coaching: each of you have enabled me to improve my technique by providing me with very clear and helpful hints!"—C.A., Beg., May 2010

"I Went this year to New England Tennis as I know that they will not be back to North Conway, The weather was rainy, overcast and cold. so I did not have any matches that week, but I had great pros. to learn and play with. I had everything EXCEPT a curtain in the livingroom which looked out over the courts, that was a bit unsetteling at night for a single person. When I question this twice, nothing was done. :-( other than that it was great."—J.R., Int., April 2010
