Taught by the Drysdale Tennis School and Stratton staff, this camp program focuses on tennis for 4+ hours a day but also includes, swimming, other activities, and games. The intention is to teach tennis fundamentals while keeping campers motivated and enthusiastic all day long. They divide campers into two teams, which then compete in the various activities in an effort to score points and win the overall camp week. The mix of competition and skills means that campers learn in a realistic live-ball environment and thus enjoy the game more. The team competition ends on Friday and culminates with either a Pizza Party or BBQ along with the awarding of prizes and a slip 'n' slide carnival.
Once the day's activities finish, the overnight campers have a rest period before returning for afternoon match play and further instruction. Following dinner each night, the staff schedules some kind of evening activity, which could be a mountain hike, campfire, quiz or games night. The campers are supervised 24 hours a day by their camp counselors. Children need to bring their bathing suit if they want to swim.
