Here's what others have had to say about 4 Star Camps: University of Virginia.
Rate 4 Star Camps: University of Virginia (Juniors)
4 Star’s Tennis Camps at the University of Virginia provide an integrated approach to the total tennis game.
They keep groups small to better work on stroke development with private lessons, strategy sessions, drilling, and match play included. Camp begins with an evaluation of your level of play, and while the emphasis is on improvement, the atmosphere is one of excitement and fun.
Tennis aside, one of the camp’s goals is for campers to leave having made new friends, had lots of fun and improved their tennis games. One measure of its success is that since 1975, when it was founded, it has had more than 20,000 students attend its various programs. Half of them are either repeaters or were referred by former students.
There are three tennis programs to choose from: full-day Tennis Camp; Tennis Plus Camps structured to allow students time to pursue other activities such as golf, recreational sports, or personal fitness in addition to tennis; and Academic Enrichment Camps, which offer the opportunity to pursue various academic studies, SAT preparation, or College Advantage, complemented by tennis or other activities.
Campers work with an experienced staff headed by USPTA-certified teaching pro Christopher (Cubby) Cubbage and PTR-certified teaching pro Tim Riskie (head coach Hobart College).
